I don’t have very big ambitions and don’t want to be wealthy. I am a humble person. Teaching has always been my dream career. My goal in life is to serve society and become a good citizen. To me, teaching is the best way to serve society.
Coming from a lower middle-class background, I have faced many challenges in my life. I have learned that not having an education is the biggest problem for society. I want to spend my life helping people learn how to read and write. It’s sad that a quarter of our population can’t read or write after being independent for more than 60 years. The situation is even worse for women’s education. We cannot make progress without education.
I will be especially sensitive to the needs of the weaker sections of society. I will work hard to bring about change in their lives. When these members of society are educated, we will have a very different society. There will be no superstitions when people are educated. I will be available to answer their questions and will also hold extra classes for those who have difficulty keeping up with the regular class.
I am aware that I will have to face many hardships. Teaching is a hard profession. Teachers do not receive the respect they deserve. This profession is often looked down upon as low status. A teacher’s life is full of hard work. I will not focus on how much money I make. Instead, I will do my best to help my students become good citizens. I want to help my students see different viewpoints and work on being kind, helpful people. I also want to teach them good morals. After considering all the pros and cons, I have decided to become a doctor. One reason for this choice is that my father is a well-known doctor in our town. He is very kind and dedicated to his profession.
